Ceramic Filters: Ultracarb Candle
Doulton® ceramic is created from Diatomacerous Earth fired to above 1000°C.
Diatomacerous Earth is a fossil substance made of small silicon shells left by trillions of microscopic algae.
Each Doulton® filter is made of thousands of overlapping ceramic pores which
removes bacteria and cysts with an efficiency of 99.999% at 0.9 microns. Doulton® ceramic wall is
impregnated with oligodynamic silver to prevent bacteria growth within the filter.
Metal ion reduction medium, granular carbon and powdered carbon within the ceramic shell
reduces chemical (chlorine, pesticides and solvents) and heavy metal (lead, iron and aluminium)
Doulton Single Water Filters are equipped with a 10" Ultracarb candle. Doulton Double
Water Filters are equipped with a 10" Ultracarb candle and a Fluoride/Metal Reduction Filter.
Fluoride/Metal Reduction Filter
Fluoride/Metal Reduction filters are designed to reduce heavy metals, fluoride, color,
bromine, pesticides and chlorine/chloramine in drinking water. Based on level of
contaminants found in your water, efficiency will vary from 50% to 95%.
Metals absorbed: Lead, Aluminium, Cadmium, Copper, Zinc, Iron, Manganese, Silver,
Arsenic, Nickel, Mercury, and Chromium.
Doulton Water Filters are available in counter-top and under-sink models.
